big players. This interview is with Dominique, the webmaster for
Games and Casino and
Virtual Gaming Conference.

Dominique, what's your flagship website?
Games and Casino is my flagship.
What's your website's mission?
Games and Casino tries to show people how to play proper strategy.
You can learn and practise there for free. Most people lose money
very quickly at casinos - they would do a whole lot better if they
used the appropriate strategies.
How long have you been a casino portal webmaster?
Going on 3 years.
What made you decide to get into this business?
Coincidence. I created a game site for friends and included some
casino games. One day I got a check in the mail. Took me a while to
figure out that the casino games had banner links to an online
casino and someone had played there...
What's your favorite thing about being a webmaster?
Freedom
What's your least favorite thing?
Updating, updating, updating. Did I mention updating?
How much interaction do you have with your website's visitors?
I publish a newsletter and lots of people write to me.
Do you have any high rollers playing? Do you know them personally?
Sometimes I know them.
How has being a portal webmaster benefited you, both tangibly and
intangibly?
Sure. It's profitable, there is a great community and I am the
master of my time.
What games do you like to play online?
All kinds. That's how come I created Games and Casino.
What's your favorite casino to play at?
Lately I like Riverbelle.
Which casino group is your favorite to promote? Why?
Microgaming and Cryptologic. They are good, solid casinos and don't
cheat players. It's very rare to find a rogue one there.
What are your top three website bookmarks?
GamesandCasino, CasinoAffiliatePrograms, Winneronline.
Is there a difference between high rollers who play at online
casinos and high rollers who play at b&m casinos?
I guess high rollers who play at b&m casinos have a lot more free
time on hand since they generally need to travel. Anyone can be a
high roller online. Just sit down and play.
What percentage of whales are women, do you think?
A little over 50%
What advice would you give a new webmaster who wanted to get
involved in this area of the web? What mistakes would you warn them
not to make?
Offer interesting content. Don't use too many banners. Make sure the
casinos you advertise don't cheat players. Always keep the player in
mind with anything you do.
If you had to sum up your approach to being a webmaster in the
online gaming industry in one sentence, what would that sentence be?
Happy players make happy webmasters make happy casinos.
